Let's Laugh alittle bit....

Some how I got ahold of this letter.  It came from my grandpa's sister.  She had it stashed away somewhere and she passed away and honestly I don't know how I ended up with it but I did and now I want to share it with you all to read and I hope it does not affend anyone and you get a laugh out of it.

I had it posted on my Myspace account for a long time and since I do not hardley visit that website anymore I figure I would copy and paste it here for everyone to smile...

Kentucky Mom to Kentucky Son

Dear Son,

I'M WRITING THIS SLOW CAUSE I KNOW YOU CAN'T READ FAST. WE DON'T LIVE WHERE
WE DID WHEN YOU LEFT. YOUR DAD READ IN THE PAPER WHERE MOST ACCIDENTS
HAPPEND WITHIN TWENTY MILES OF HOME, SO WE MOVED.
I WON'T BE ABLE TO SEND YOU THE ADDRESS AS THE LAST KENTUCKY FAMILY THAT LIVED HERE TOOK THE NUMBERS WITH THEM FOR THEIR NEXT HOUSE SO THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO CHANGE THEIR ADDRESS.

THIS PLACE HAS A WASHING MACHINE. THE FIRST DAY I PUT FOUR SHIRTS IN IT AND PULLED THE CHAIN AND HADN'T SEEN EM SINCE. IT ONLY RAINED TWICE THIS WEEK, THREE DAYS THE FIRST TIME AND FOUR DAYS THE SECOUND TIME.

THE COAT YOU WANTED ME TO SEND YOU YOUR AUNT HAZEL SAID IT WOULD BE A LITTLE TO HEAVY IN THE MAIL WITH HEAVY BUTTONS SO WE CUT THEM OFF AND PUT THEM IN THE POCKETS.

WE GOT A BILL FROM THE FUNERAL HOME SAID IF WE DIDN'T MAKE THE LAST PAYMENT ON GRAMMA'S FUNERAL BILL. UP SHE COMES.

ABOUT YOUR FATHER....HE HAS A LOVELY NEW JOB. HE HAS OVER 500 MEN UNDER HIM. HE IS CUTTING GRASS AT THE CEMEMTERY.

ABOUT YOUR SISTER...SHE HAD A BABY THIS MORNING. I HAVENT' FOUND OUT WHETHER IT IS A BOY OR GIRL. SO I DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE AN AUNT OR UNCLE.

YOUR UNCLE JESSE FELL IN THE WHISKY BAT. SOME MEN TRIED TO PULL HIM OUT. BUT HE FOUND THEM OFF PLAYFULLY SO HE DROWNED. WE CREMATED HIM AND HE BURNED FOR 3 DAYS.
NOT MUCH MORE NEWS THIS TIME NOTHING MUCH HAS HAPPEND. WRITE MORE OFTEN.

LOVE MOM,

P.S. I WAS GOING TO SEND YOU SOME MONEY BUT THE ENVELOPE WAS ALREADY SEALED.

I hope I gave everyone a smile that reads this...(I sure did)
I think it is great that this was stuffed away somewhere...People are so funnee...and when I read this I think of Bernice....That was my grandpas sisters name...So may this smile go out to her and she rest in peace...

What things do you have stuffed and stashed???
I have a few 4 leaf clover's I have found throughout the years and have placed them in my Bible....and a couple funeral notes from the past stuffed in there as well....

Thanks for reading my post today....Keep Smiling
