What Makes you Smile

What makes you smile???

I have many things in my life to make me smile 24 hours a day 7 days a week...

after that my cheeks would hurt...lol

My son with his arms around his Great-Grandma makes my heart smile as well as my face...

A lazy day just watching my family members also brings a pretty smile....

A finished project I made with my 2 hands makes me smile

And the look on my grandma's face when she opened it

even made my tear smile  :)

Looking back at pictures from the past make me smile

(but thinking how old we are now makes me cry)  lol  ~JOKE~ well kinda...

The smell of a fire burning while camping out is a big ol' smile...and my worn out broken in flip flops are well

you know....SMILE

The blessing of a beautiful sunset after a wonderful day spent

with my husband makes me smile

Our flag blowing in the wind for all to see

makes me smile and feel proud

My hand gently resting on top of my grandmas

makes me smile

and my heart smile BIG

So what makes you smile???

I bet when you sit and think about it on your next

grumpy not feeling good day it will make all your

troubles just float away...(even for alittle while)

Getting Bright With ETSY SHOPS

So as you have been reading I am on the house changing route again....Trying to go after a clean and brighter look for this year...

It is a bit of a change as I love the Primitive look and those dark warm colors but I am wanting to step out of my box and old ways and just change....Change is good right?? 

I have been clicking away at blogs again and also going around and checking out etsy shops and looking for some bright clean and interesting finds....I wanted to share some with you on this post.....I hope you stop over and check them out...

(and yes those are Christmas lights hanging up under my cabinets.....cheap under cabinet lighting right now......LOL)

Where do you get your INSPIRATION??

INSPIRATION??  WHERE??  SHOW ME....

 I have been on the redecorating boat now since after the holidays....

I had the kitchen I guess you can say the Primitive look...Here is a picture of one wall...

I do love the prim look but I am wanting something different and been searching...

The cabinets were never finished and the trim still needed to be added...

I did have a chalkboard back splash which I LOVED...I would change it up

for the Holidays...But now it is old and I want different...there is that word again

DIFFERENT..

Soooo I began the year painting my kitchen ALL white...yep it is a clean blank canvas right now and I have been here and there and still there and looking all over for ideas and inspiration from other blogs I have come across...

Might I say how fun it is....

I am wanting to turn my kitchen into a Shabby Chic kitchen...

Nice and bright...lots of different whites and less clutter...right now I have ideas piled up in my head and my items scattered all over just waiting for there new place in my home...

As of this week I am adding a bead board back splash to my kitchen...yep getting past the chalkboard back splash...I might need a drink for that moment...

But I am in the process of keeping a chalkboard by painting this big ol picture frame I have white

and I shall insert a chalkboard that way and hang on the wall..

We WILL still have chalk messages....lol

"I Do" all over again

January 4, 2005

I said "I Do" to an amazing man that came into my life.

At the courthouse in downtown Cincinnati we got married with

his parents,my grandma and of course Nathan there to witness.

The Bed and Breakfast we stayed at on our wedding night was called 

 Weller Haus

Chocolate covered strawberries were waiting on the bed when

we arrived...along with a beautiful gift basket...

The smell of the place was amazing...like a Carmel coffee walnut something...

we went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon and might I say

how young we looked here...lol...

This is us taking a quick picture at The Grand Oak Golf Course close to were we live..

we would use his day off which is almost every Monday and we would go golf 9 holes..

 

Oh...St. Louis you caught us kissing....

Many adventures we have taken in our 6 year journey..

and I am looking forward to many more...

Chicago was beautiful and fun....Next time we shall eat some of there famous pizza..

A date night...wow, really yes a date night..walk downtown over the bridge and

went to Go Bananas comedy club..I love to laugh...



And of course us and a great camping and fishing trip...
